Job description:
Farsak seeks two Hardware in the Loop (HIL) Engineers (1~ Senior & 1~ Junior level) to lead & expedite our client’s product development & systems integration efforts.
Both roles are contract-based and will be onsite in the Detroit Metro Area.
Qualifications and Experiences
- Broad knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software engineering as part of combined HW/SW systems
- Experience in dSPACE or NI control and automation desk software & HIL simulators
- Expertise with developing test procedures for automated execution, implementing tests using HIL equipment, documenting and reviewing execution reports, reporting incidents, and tracking software updates to fix issues
- Solid background in software test design and knowledge in functional partitioning, electrical and communication architectures
- Experience in bench testing of distributed systems, including bench functional integration, test execution, measuring and instrumentation, incident reporting, and root cause analysis.
- Knowledge of embedded controller networks (CAN, LIN), ECU diagnostic, and network communication tools to verify and troubleshoot.
- Deep knowledge in at least one discipline, including electrical, mechanical, or software engineering.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience writing requirements documents and design specifications
- Years of experience in automotive software, models, or control development in MATLAB/Simulink or bench execution activities like Validation, Verification & Testing.
- BS/MS in electrical, mechanical, computer, or systems engineering preferred.
